ST KITTS AND NEVIS INDEPENDENCE SERVICE - September 2016

The 33rd Anniversary of the Independence of St. Kitts & Nevis was held on 18th September 2016 at
St. Martins Church, Chapeltown, Leeds. The theme for this year’s anniversary was ‘The Benefit of Wisdom’.
The service began with the procession of the St. Kitts & Nevis flag and followed with a welcome and opening prayer by Rev Dr Nicholas lo Polito. The service was well attended and filled with wonderful songs, scripture readings, a short sermon and an address from the High commissioner. The service ended with the national anthem and closing prayers. Everyone was invited to stay for refreshments. The St. Kitts & Nevis Association Leeds thanked everyone who attended and who made it an event to be remembered.
We’re definitely looking forward to 2017.
